Procedures for when your child is away.

If your child is away please enter your child's absence details on Compass.

When your child is late, please either phone, send a note or accompany your child to the office.

SMS messages are sent to families on the day the child is away and you have not entered an explanation for their absence on Compass.

If these procedures are not followed, it will result in a letter being sent home to families requesting an explanation of your child’s late arrival or absence. You will also receive a phone call from your child’s teacher or the Wellbeing AP if the school has not received an explanation.

Of course there are times such as illness and family circumstances when a child needs to be away, but these should be a rarity rather than a norm and need to be communicated to the school.

Remember it is reassuring to know that you increase your child’s chances of success just by making sure they turn up for school every day.
