Student Leaders

School Captains

As School Captains, we take on various responsibilities to support our Cranbourne East Primary School community. We regularly meet with the principal and teachers to address various school matters, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. Each day, we deliver essential recess announcements daily, keeping our peers informed and engaged. We actively participate in weekly meetings alongside our House Captains, fostering teamwork and cohesion within our school’s leadership. Additionally, we proudly represent our school at significant community events such as ANZAC Day and Remembrance Day, embodying our school’s values and principles. As role models, we uphold and demonstrate the importance of following school rules and regulations and setting a high standard for our fellow students. Our dedication extends to actively participating in school events and contributing to the creation of engaging online assembly videos each week. We play a vital role in the organisation and execution of whole school assemblies, ensuring that our school spirit and values are upheld throughout all activities.

House Captains

At Cranbourne East Primary School, our vibrant school community is organised into four houses: Hudson, Ruffy, Lyall, and Donnelly. As House Captains, we play integral roles in fostering school spirit and teamwork. This includes active participation and support in our exciting sporting events like Cross Country and Athletics Day and contributing to coordinating our engaging C.E.P.S. Online Assembly. Regular attendance at weekly meetings ensures effective communication and collaboration among our leadership team. Additionally, we take pride in tracking S.W.P.B.S. reward stickers and celebrating positive behaviour and achievements throughout our school. Beyond these responsibilities, we remain flexible and ready to take on any other duties assigned by the Student Leadership Coordinator, PE Teachers, or School Leadership. These tasks may encompass event planning, student welfare initiatives, or community service projects, further enriching our educational experience and contributing to the well-being of our school community.

SRC

The Student Representative Council (SRC) at Cranbourne East Primary School aims to represent the voice of students within the school community. The council is comprised of an elected group of students from Years 3 to 6 who are role models and consistently uphold the school values. They meet weekly to discuss and plan engaging events and activities for students to enjoy and participate in. Ultimately, they hope to make the school experience more enjoyable and memorable for all students. For example, they have held activities for special days such as ANZAC day and Do it For Dolly Day to raise awareness for these causes. Furthermore, the SRC is involved in community fundraising and representing the school at a range of community events. We encourage students to speak to the SRC group when they have ideas and thoughts about activities or improvements they would enjoy at our school.

Sustainability Captains

To be a Sustainability Leader at CEPS means to be a good role model to all students. To do this we educate them in how to care for our environment, maintain our school gardens (not pulling out plants), use the bins for correct purposes, use water/taps appropriately and respect all aspects of our school.

SWPBS Student Leaders

At Cranbourne East Primary School, our SWPBS (School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support) Student Leaders play a vital role in shaping a positive and respectful school environment. These students meet weekly to share their ideas and provide input on key aspects of SWPBS, including our rewards and sticker systems.

As role models, they lead by example—demonstrating our core values of respect, responsibility, and resilience. Their leadership is reflected in school assemblies, daily interactions, and throughout the school year as they help foster a culture of positive behaviour.

Through their voice and actions, our SWPBS Student Leaders are making a meaningful impact and helping to strengthen our school community.
